Endlessly sweet inspiring iambics
But all he seems to care about is grain,
The ups and downs of prices hereabouts
Ships lost at sea with their wheat cargoes sunk
Supply and demand, elasticity
Multiplier effects of scarcity
All sorts of economic ear-kissing
Not what I expect from Wm Shakespeare, Gent,
Who seems less poet than commodity
Trader yearning for a coat with luce and cock.
I see no First Folio glory here
Only a chamber of commerce member.
